The Town is pleased to offer an exciting new selection of outdoor programs for individuals and families as well as school, daycare, camp, Scouts, Guides and other community groups of all ages!
All of our programs provide hands-on experiences in the natural environment, leading to a better understanding and appreciation of the world around us.
Children will learn by doing; as they try new things and take risks, they will gain self-esteem as they develop their own personal environmental ethic.
Everyone’s personal physical fitness will benefit by participating in a guided hike, garden planting, or a forest a pond wildlife study in one of Richmond Hill’s beautiful and diverse community parks.
Our programs typically run in the following locations:
Elgin West Greenway - behind Elgin West Community Centre, 11099 Bathurst Street
Richmond Green Park (Children's Teaching Garden) - 1300 Elgin Mills Road East
Robert Holland Interpretive Centre - in Phyllis Rawlinson Park, 11715 Leslie Street
Richvale Greenway South - behind Richvale Community Centre, 160 Avenue Road
George Forster House - in Phyllis Rawlinson Park, 11715 Leslie Street
