Effective immediately the usage of all photographic devices including: cameras, video cameras, camera cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs) in all changerooms and washrooms in all Town-owned facilities is prohibited.
This policy is necessary because advancements in technology on electronic devices now include photographic capabilities, allowing users to photograph people without their consent and possibly duplicate or send the photograph to others without permission.
Any patron wishing to use cameras/video cameras or other photographic devices in any community centre or pool will need to obtain permission from staff before filming - including birthday parties.
