Waste Management Information

Going GreenRichmond Hill provides weekly curbside collection of recycling (Blue Box) and organics (Green Bin). Garbage is collected every second week and yard waste is collected on scheduled Mondays. Appliances are picked up monthly by appointment. For collection guidelines, York Region Drop-off Depot information or to schedule pickup of a large appliance, please visit the 'Waste Collection' Info section below.

  • Please remove all decorations and nails. Trees (no taller than 7 feet) should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day. Trees frozen into the snow or on top of snow banks will not be collected.

    If you miss either of these collection dates, trees can be dropped off at the Yard Waste Depot located at 1351 Bloomington Road.

    To ensure that your material is not missed, please place garbage, Blue Boxes and Green Bins out for collection by 7 a.m. on your collection day.

    Waste Management By-law
